Privacy Policy

Rememberly helps you remember people, dates, notes, reminders, messages, gift ideas, and cards. This data is personal, so the product is designed to keep relationship details private by default.

What stays on your device

People, relationship details, dates, notes, reminders, saved drafts, gift ideas, saved cards, and preferences are stored on your device by default.

When AI is used

Rememberly sends information to OpenAI only after you choose to use an AI feature and allow AI processing in the app. AI features include the voice assistant, note drafting, gift ideas, and card art. Requests are sent through Rememberly's secure proxy.

The data sent can include the details needed for the request: names or nicknames, relationship type, dates, reminder details, notes, preferences, gift constraints, draft text, selected card style, and what you type or say to the assistant. The app asks for permission before sending personal relationship details to OpenAI.

OpenAI processes the request to return suggestions, drafts, cards, or save-ready records. Rememberly requires third-party services used for AI processing to protect personal data with safeguards appropriate for the data they process.

Rememberly does not use AI to read your private messages, emails, or contacts in the background.

What we do not do

Rememberly does not sell personal relationship data. Rememberly does not use personal relationship data for advertising. Rememberly does not ask OpenAI to use your relationship details for advertising.

Account and backup

If you choose Sign in with Apple or cloud backup, account and backup data may be used to restore Rememberly on another device. Cloud backup should be encrypted before upload where available in the app.

Export and deletion

You can export your local Rememberly data from Settings. You can also delete local relationship data from Settings.
